Healthy Thanksgiving Recipes

Would you like to start new, healthier holiday traditions?

Are you looking for comforting holiday recipes that fit your healthy life style?

Do you have someone in your life who could use a good immune boosting meal this holiday season?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, I encourage you to please try some of my healthy Thanksgiving recipes below!

Yesterday at work we made an amazingly delicious and nutritious Thanksgiving dinner for 27 local cancer patients and their families at The Heimerdinger Foundation.

Instead of doing mashed potatoes with turkey gravy, we did creamy millet with gluten free mushroom gravy. Cashew cream and homemade almond milk made our green bean quinoa casserole nice and creamy, and the turkey is rubbed with some of the best natural immune boosting ingredients: turmeric, oregano, garlic, and onion!

My personal favorite is the Harvest Kale Salad with goat cheese. Put a little bit of that, the cranberry sauce, and the turkey on a fork for the absolute perfect Thanksgiving bite.

The smell, look, and taste of this meal is absolutely everything you would expect from a Thanksgiving meal, but your body will actually thank you for having seconds!

I hope you will try some of these comforting recipes this holiday season and enjoy preparing them as much as we did!
